Where can I get a big chest?
Normally you would never hear me asking such a question (particularly if you've seen me in person), but it's time to purge the playroom. (No, that's not code for sex. *snicker*)
We have this room we call the playroom. It's about 8x7 - no heat duct, no electrical outlets. There's a pull chain light in the middle of the ceiling. So it was never a bedroom or anything more than a place to store toys and play (when it was clean - for like 2 months out of the entire time we've lived here). I am tired of looking at it and not being able to see the floor (or anything other than the mound of crap that's tossed in there).
But I will clean it one. more. time. With black bags. The "playroom" will be taken over by all my craft things and a bookcase - all neat and orderly-like (eventually).
I will allow them to have one big chest with all their games and puzzles in it. And that's *all* the space they get in that room. It doesn't need to be huge, but nothing tiny either. Nothing fancy (because no one's going to really see it anyway). And I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on such things. I don't mind even getting a plain one and staining it myself.
So.... Any ideas on where I could get a big chest?

Here is what we did, we went to Wally world and got a TV "Entertainment Center" with doors. It has lots of shelves and big spaces for storing everything, and it is much easier to get things out of than a single large chest which requires them pulling things out to get the stuff on the bottom.
