With a name like Amazon, you'd think they'd want to save the trees

I got a package! But what is this huge box? Hmm... Maybe one of my friends sent me something (because nothing *I* ordered would warrant such a big box). Let's find out, shall we? I remove one layer of paper...

And then another layer...

And ANOTHER LAYER!! (I know! They sent me a box of paper!!)

FINALLY I get to the prize inside. My 8 GB flash drive!

WTF Amazon. I'm not sure if you chose that name for your company because you are eco-friendly (Save the Rainforest! Surely not if you're wasting those huge boxes and tons of paper for a wee little flash drive when a much smaller package would do.) Or perhaps you chose that name because you're a colossal waste of resources!

Now I know a small envelope with bubble wrap inside might not be eco-friendly either, but I do reuse the bubble wrap (and who doesn't like popping that stuff? I have to do it all before the kids come home, because really, I'm not letting them have that kind of fun without a permit!) But sheesh people...

All this packaging and wrapping for one. teeny. little. item. (Notice that the item is not much larger than the actual address label used on the outside of the box.)

I can't wait to see how my 1 GB bonus flash is packaged.
