Oh mah itchy eyes!!

With spring comes allergies. How do I know? Because I'm a vision of loveliness without my allergy pills - watery, itchy, crusty/goopy eyes, sneezing, snorking, waking up with a dry, sore throat from all the postnasal drip. (Makes you really want to see me first thing in the morning, eh? It's a sight to behold, I tell ya!)

While I love the flowers and all things bloom-y, I hate the allergens. And of course (because my life is difficult like this), I'm one of those year-round sufferers of outdoor AND indoor allergies. In fact, I'm probably more allergic to the indoor allergens than the outdoor ones. Add that to the fact that I HATE to dust and there you have it. Allergy central.

We've got allergies and asthma, both nasty for allergens. Sometimes asthma goes hand in hand (not so much in my family, but we deal with both, so we like the "all around" solutions).

American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning's AccuClean™ whole home air filtration system is good for helping to get rid of all those allergens throughout your entire house. The AccuClean system can be attached to your existing furnace or air conditioner, so you don't need to renovate your home to install it. (BONUS!) Once it's in place, AccuClean removes allergens from the air in every room of the house (as opposed to those dehumidifier types that only work in one room).

Hannah Keeley, founder of www.TotalMom.com, has been working closely with American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. She knows how hard it is to keep things to a minimum in the home. She's come up with some great tips on keeping indoor air as healthy as possible. You can check them out a here.
