Research....
I'm researching and getting together information to get the WNY Zombie Walk off the ground next year. The first year I wanted to start it up I was recuperating from surgery. This year, time got away from me. There's a lot more to it than saying, "Hey, wanna lurch around with me as a zombie just for the heck of it?" There are permits, and regulations, and simple common courtesy things that you have to do. There are donations to ask for and businesses to talk to. (Toronto has a really great zombie walk. Some places do it for charity, and others just for fun. Go on you tube and check out "zombie walk" or "zombie lurch" to see some cool videos.)
In the meantime, I've lost some of my oomph. I've not even played around with make up yet this year and it's the end of September! This year's Halloween costumes will require actually very little in the way of make up and latex wounds.
So I'm trying to find my inner zombie and aside of being dead tired (hah - I made a punny), I'm not yet feeling the yearning for walking around randomly as a zombie (as I usually do this year quite often).
Every zombie is an individual. Some are lurchers. Some are attackers. For the most part they're just people who got caught in a weird situation and find themselves lumbering around with a taste for brain tartare. Inherently not bad, really, but just misunderstood and unaccepted. I'm more of a contemplative zombie these days - wondering how and why the universe dealt me the deal it did. Heh... So tonight I start my nightly zombie movie after the kids go to bed. Maybe then I'll find my groove.
How do YOU find your inner zombie?
